The Clear Lake Yacht Club is an informal group that promotes competitive and pleasure sailing on the lake.  Equally important is the fellowship off the lake not only with the sailors but also with the social members as well.  In 2008, CLYC is proud to host the Hobie North American Championships and the Opti regatta.  CLYC holds races for E scows C scows, MC scows, X boats and Hobies on Saturdays, Sundays, and Thursday evenings. 

I would like to thank the many people who will volunteer their time and effort in organizing the various activities that enable us to enjoy a full sailing and social season.  As Clear Lake Yacht Club Sailing School is the backbone that supports the future of the club, I want to acknowledge the sailors and those who support and encourage them.  It is always a highlight to see their enthusiasm and camaraderie at year-end.  It is an honor to serve this year as commodore.  I'm looking forward to a very successful sailing year for all.  Wishing you all good luck and good sailing
