Pay no attention to that weather outside your window!! Sooner or later summer will show itself.

MEMORIAL DAY REGATTA…..is this Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26. Look for back-to-back races on Saturday. In case you’ve forgotten what racing times are over the long winter here they are:
Saturday – 9:30 a.m. – X, MC, M17
Saturday – 2:00 p.m. – E, C, Hobies
Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – X, MC, M17, C, Hobies

YACHT CLUB BOARD MEETING…….is this Sunday, May 26, 1:30 p.m. at the YC building.

SOME OF OUR X BOATS ARE WAY AHEAD OF THE REST OF US……….Last weekend Lake Geneva hosted an X Boat clinic to kick off the season.  The Clear Lake Sailing Center was represented by Elle and Georgia Ebeling, Billy and Danny Starbeck and coach Wil Cooney. Not shockingly, the early spring weather wasn’t conducive to a lot of on the water training, but they did get one water session in……….and quite a bit of on-shore training to help the X Boaters prepare for the upcoming season.

DNR REMINDER………the DNR has asked that we remind you all to make sure you’ve renewed registrations for your sailboats, motorboats and just about anything else you own that floats.  Of course, if you didn’t get your renewals in by April 30, you get the privilege of forking over a penalty, which I think is $5.

Jeff Nicholas has two E-Scows for sale.  One is a 1999 and the other is a 2002 model. They are both race ready and include a trailer, main, jib and spinnaker.  If you’re interested Jeff is at 641-420-5900 or jnicholas@cltel.net.
